Furniture Storage

There are basically two types of furniture. There is patio furniture that is made from materials that can withstand the Florida sun's heat and the humidity which is so prevalent during the summer months. Then there is furniture made of beautiful woods and delicate cloth materials which can be permanently damaged by the humidity and heat. People also store paintings and other art work which needs to be in air conditioned units to protect both the canvas and the frames. We have also had a beautiful grand piano stored between world tours. With that in mind, we help and advise the customer as to what type of unit is needed for their particular type or types of furniture. One elderly gentleman had a small upright piano that had been made in England and had crossed the international dateline several times as the family traveled from one country to another. His wife had been the one person in the family who played the piano and she had passed away from cancer several years before. The piano was the one thing he had which held so many pleasant memories of their time together. He made sure that the piano was in an air conditioned unit and it had a special padded cloth cover to protect it. One day he brought a lovely lady in to see the piano and asked me to help him remove the cloth cover. She sat down at the piano and since it was always kept tuned, she began to play. She played beautifully and the old man began to smile. It wasn't long after that the piano was picked up and delivered to their new address.
